Wildflowers - A Field Guide

Wildflowers; A Field Guide to Flowering Plants of Arivaca and Southern Arizona
by Maggie Milinovitch

The editor of The Connection newspaper has published her first field guide:

  • Designed for amateur wildflower enthusiasts, this book provides an easy-to-use guide for identifying many of our desert’s abundant wildflowers.
  • Most guides cover all of Arizona from alpine forests to low desert valleys. This book, while focusing on the Arivaca area, identifies plants growing in the desert grasslands of Southern Arizona between 3,000 ft. and 4,500 ft.
  • Included are 204 species, many not found in other Arizona wildflower guides. Close-up photos of the flower and a photo of the entire plant are shown – unusual in many field guides but very helpful for successful identification.
  • Over 400 full-color photos on premium paper.
  • Spanish name, common name and scientific name indexing.
  • Binding allows for full opening – cover is UV coated to protect it from sun damage; this is a book to be used in the field.
